    History

LibreOffice has long supported (and had many members interested in) the conversion of many outdated or closed/proprietary file formats to ODF documents. In April of 2014, a group headed by TDF members proposed and created the new project and site.

The project aims to provide a home for the continued development of import file filters for a wide variety of formats, adding existing filters and helping to coordinate the creation of new filters as desired and needed.
