Summary:

Rounds a number down to the nearest integer.

Syntax:

INT(Number)

Returns:

Returns an integer value which is the Number rounded down to the nearest integer.

Arguments:

Number is a real number or a reference to the cell containing the number which is to be rounded down to the nearest integer.

Negative numbers round down to the integer below.

Examples:

Formula Description Returns
=INT(5.7) rounds down 5.7 to nearest integer 5
=INT(-1.3) rounds down -1.3 to nearest integer -2
