Talk:Documentation/Calc Functions/LOGNORM.DIST
SF Comments
- (1) Returns. Suggest the following alternative – “Returns a non-negative real number representing the requested value for the log-normal distribution with the specified mean and standard deviation”.
- (2) Arguments, Number. Delete “probability” and change “standard logarithmic” to “log-normal”.
- (3) Arguments, Mean. Change “standard logarithmic” to “log-normal”.
- (4) Arguments, StDev. Change “standard logarithmic” to “log-normal”.
- (5) Arguments, 1st bullet. Suggest change to “If Number is negative or zero then the function returns a zero value for the cumulative distribution function. However, it returns an error for the probability distribution function for these values.”.
- (6) Additional details. Probably clearer if we change “If Cumulative is FALSE()” to “For the probability mass function”, and “otherwise If Cumulative is TRUE()” to “For the cumulative distribution function”.
- (7) Examples, 1st example. Formula gives an Err:511 because the Cumulative argument is required. Also insert “the” before “log-normal”.
- (8) Examples, examples 2-4. Insert “the” before “log-normal” (three occurrences).
- (9) Examples, 5th example. Insert “the” before “probability”.
- (10) Examples, examples 6 & 7. Insert “the” before “cumulative”.
- (11) Examples, 7th example. Formula gives an Err:511 because the Cumulative argument is required. You will need to remove the text “(default)”.
