Talk:ReleaseNotes/26.8

From The Document Foundation Wiki

One of the new features is that “numbering formats of subdocuments can be customized”. Is that actually true? It looks like the patch that was merged for tdf#147943 only made it so that the number in the filename is padded with zeros to be three digits long. The format is still hardcoded and there doesn’t seem to be any UI to customise it. --Bpeel (talk) 16:09, 3 August 2026 (UTC)

I removed it now, thanks. --Beluga (talk) 10:47, 4 August 2026 (UTC)

First bullet of Core/General section, starting with The Organizer tab of the style dialog now shows interactive "chips", cannot be translated as there is no translate tag. --Jumbo444 (talk) 14:34, 19 August 2026 (UTC)

Anyone can add missing translate tags, there are no special permissions required. --Beluga (talk) 07:28, 21 August 2026 (UTC)
Thanks for the tip. I was wondering how the numbers (Unit markers) were created. But Help explains it is automatically done :-) --Jumbo444 (talk) 15:28, 21 August 2026 (UTC)

Filters

Section "Filters" is empty and should be removed. But I do not know how this affects the translation tags when a number is missing then. --LibreOfficeUser25 (talk) 17:20, 3 September 2026 (UTC)

It is just removed with the next update of the translations. I did it now. --Beluga (talk) 06:26, 4 September 2026 (UTC)
... and to answer your question, @LibreOfficeUser25, no, it doesn't. The best way to learn how a wiki works is by being bold and editing it yourself ;-) Fito (talk) 19:51, 4 September 2026 (UTC)
