    Hi Dkolasa98,
I received your mail. I will only discuss this incident in public. You wrote, that "they made" you do that. Who is they? And why should I unblock you now? Do you want to help the project in a constructive way?
    Regards,
    Dennis Roczek (talk) 2018-03-05T18:34:51 (UTC)
I don’t know them very well. I just want to be a Free Software Warrior just like you. I want to help the project that is why I am here for. Unblock me you won’t regret it ever.

Dkolasa98, you certainly don’t sound convincing at all. EricBright (talk) 2018-03-05T23:40:42 (UTC)
How can I convince you? I am not ANTIFA mob, I’m not into vandalism, it’s opposite I want to help the project. Can do translations , documentation, some coding and some artwork being required for the 7.0 release. Dkolasa98 (talk) 2018-03-06T8:55:27 (UTC)

──────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────── Hi Daniel, we have had the same problem with renaming our release plans some weeks ago. And therefor we are interested in knowing the people and the ways they are saying to you to do this. We don't want to loose or scare new volunteers like you. It seems you are a victim of circumstances. If you want to help say a hello on a mailing list where you want to work. And ask there for work. We don't have any plan for a 7.0 or 8.0 up to now. Perhaps you see the mistake happen here: Someone the project doesn't know tell you to do something the project don't want to get. K-j (talk) 2018-03-06T11:24:14 (UTC)

I don’t know what to say. Will join mailing list for sure and I’m a volunteer but not a slave worker waiting for jobs to be dispatched. I’m a 1st year computer science student at Warsaw University Of Technology (PW) and I’ve just wanted to help making great 7.0 version not older versions. I can do C++ , Polish/English translations, technical documentation in English and a lot other stuff including but not limited to wiki management and release planning.

    Hi Daniel,
[...] and I’ve just wanted to help making great 7.0 version not older versions.
There is no version 7.0 nor even planned. The next version will be 6.1.

I have planned a great 7.0 version but you have reverted my changes back to 6.1, why?
The project needs more progress in my oponion and I was the prime mover behind it — and I got banned by the old establishment which hinders progress. I feel like Copernicus or Galileo here.
Can we speak about 7.0 version and plan it accordingly? I can create LO 7 artwork.
    Daniel Kolasa (talk) 2018-03-10T05:27:27 (UTC)
Hah, you do not understand, hence a reason not to unblock you. The Document Foundation plus the marketing plus many, many, many persons of the community do want to create a version 6.1. Please discuss this first with the whole community. Moreover it is only a number and do not really help the community. please join the marketing and the design mailing list and discuss the changes before simply changing such fundamental pages.
"The project needs more progress in my oponion" - by changing the version number? There won't be any new features nor bug fixes in the product by only changing the version schemata (or the version itself). Please get in the project and help by translating, writing documentation, produce useful code, extensions or whatever (== we have many ways to contribute and help the project).
"and I got banned by the old establishment which hinders progress" - uhm no. You made disruptive edits and that was explained to you multiple times. Changing the version won't produce a better product. We are a very open community and try to keep the barrier as low as possible to contribute, and many do. but there are some simple fundamental rules - and these got broken by you.

Uhm by the way: maybe you want to help the polish team to translate LibreOffice into polish?
    see https://translations.documentfoundation.org/pl/
    Dennis Roczek (talk) 2018-03-10T12:59:14 (UTC)
I will just add this quote from a book to what Dennis has said: “LibreOffice […] adopts a time-based release […] What features actually land on each release depend on the maturity of their implementation as release time approaches” (Villafiorita, A., 2016, pp. 232–233). As you can see, in our project when a version number has been bumped by the Marketing team it was because some important development has happened already. Our release-note pages include a note at the top, which explicitly says that they are for logging features that have factually happened — they are not a place for “planning” what a release should include. If you wanted to have any feature implemented by a deadline, you could pay one of the companies that pay developers to work on this project, and you could have planned its development in this wiki, but without messing with the release-note pages. ―Fitoschido (talk) 2018-03-11T19:15:50 (UTC)
