## Summary:

Calculates the area of the right tail of the probability density function for the F-distribution.

## Syntax:

FDIST(Number; degreesFreedom1; degreesFreedom2)

## Returns:

Returns a non-negative real number which is the area of the right tail of the probability density function for the F-distribution.

## Arguments:

Number is a real number or a reference to the cell containing that number which is the value for which the F distribution is to be calculated.

degreesFreedom1 is a real number or a reference to the cell containing that number which is the degrees of freedom in the numerator in the F distribution.

degreesFreedom2 is a real number or a reference to the cell containing that number which is the degrees of freedom in the denominator in the F distribution.

• If Number is negative or degreeFreedom1/degreeFreedom2 is less than 1, then the function returns an error value.
• If degreeFreedom1 or degreeFreedom2 is a non-integer value then the function uses its floor value, i.e. truncates it to an integer.
