How can I configure LibreOffice so that no documents or images are displayed in the Start Center?

No document list in Start Center

    Settings for Start Center

In order to remove the document list from the Start Center, you can do the following:

    • Go to Tools ▸ Options ▸ LibreOffice ▸ Advanced ▸ Open Expert Configuration
    • Search for PickListSize or org.openoffice.Office.Common
    • Double-click on the History line. Set the value in History to 0
    • Close all dialogs with Ok
    Note pin.svg

    Note:

This also means there is no longer a list available in the menu item File ▸ Recent Documents.

The action can be undone by following the same steps as described above, but entering a value > 0, default value being 25.

    No images in Start Center

If all you want is to not display document thumbnails, proceed as follows:

    • Go to Tools ▸ Options ▸ LibreOffice ▸ Advanced ▸ Open Expert Configuration
    • Search for RecentDocsThumbnail
    • Double-click on the History line. The value in History changes from true to false
    • Close all dialogs with Ok
    Note pin.svg

    Note:
This does not delete the thumbnail in the file. If the setting is changed back to true, the images will be visible again.
