How do I insert dummy text in Writer?
You do this through AutoText. AutoTexts are managed in
▸ menu. LibreOffice has a built-in AutoText entry called dt containing a piece of dummy text.Follow these steps:
- put the cursor where you want to see the text; and
- type:
dt
- hit the F3 on your keyboard.
It is an AutoText which is stored in LibreOffice. The name of this AutoText may vary according to interface language (tex
in French p.e.). There is another AutoText lorem
which inserts Lorem Ipsum pseudo-latin text.
