Talk:Documentation/Calc Functions/YIELDMAT

    (1) Summary. Suggest the following alternative wording – “Calculates the yield of a security that pays interest only once, on the maturity date”.
    (2) Returns. This seems to bear little relation to what the function actually does!
    (3) Arguments, general. Please update the descriptions of Settlement, Maturity, Price and Basis to match their descriptions on the YIELD page.
    (4) Arguments, Rate. Change “coupon interest rate” to “interest only paid at maturity”.
    (5) Arguments, 1st bullet. Insert “is” before “less”.
    (6) Arguments, 2nd bullet. Suggest replacing with “If Settlement, Maturity, or Issue is not a valid date then the function returns a value (#VALUE!) error”.
    (7) Arguments, 3rd bullet. Insert “the” before “Settlement”. Settlement = Maturity should also give an error.
    (8) Arguments, 6th bullet. I would remove the text in brackets as it does not really add anything.
    (9) Arguments, bullets. Also, I think an error will be raised if Settlement is before Issue.
    (10) Additional details. We need to populate this section. I am happy to populate the section myself in due course if RG does not have time available for the necessary research.
    (11) Examples, 1st and 2nd examples. Delete “how high is”.
    (12) Examples, 2nd example. Change “The basis is 2” to “The basis is 0 by default”.
    (13) Examples, 4th example. Insert “the” before “Settlement”.
