Talk:Statutes

    From The Document Foundation Wiki

NOTE: THIS PAGE IS NOT THE OFFICIAL TDF STATUTES PAGE!!! PLEASE REFER TO THE OFFICIAL EN VERSION FOUND ON THE TDF WEBSITE->STATUTES PAGE.

The text below is the working copy of the "Statutes" webpage.
PLEASE DO NO EDIT NOR MODIFY ANY OF THE TEXT UNLESS YOU HAVE VERIFIED WITH THE PAGES OWNERS:
Statutes EN Translation Review Team: Thorsten Behrens; Henri Day; David Nelson; Marc Paré;.

Thanks to all individuals helping out with the Statutes page. Your help is most welcomed and appreciated. As we are all busy individuals we should try to work on the text in a methodical way.

    The text needs improvement:

    • language of document is in "International EN" (which is US EN)
    • consistent format (titles; numbering format, punctutation)
    • translation into EN should respect the DE text
    • EN text should not be ambiguous but precise
    • no spelling errors

Have I missed anything? --Marc Pare 2012-09-17T18:21:44 (CEST)

There is no real hurry to complete this page. We should be more concerned with getting the page "right" in the sense that it is readable while still respecting the DE text. After completion, the changes will have to be submitted for review and acceptance.

Please make sure to record any changes to the text and state the reason(s) of the change(s). We should cooperate as much as possible on the changes, Thorsten will make sure that the DE text is respected.

NOTE that you will find the "Signature and timestamp" shortcut on the menu line (in edit mode). Also a "double Enter-key" leaves a blank line between paragraphs or section. Let us know if there are any problems with the html code or with the wiki text. --Marc Pare 2012-09-17T18:21:44 (CEST)

I suggest that we work on 2-3 sections at a time only. --Marc Pare 2012-09-17T18:32:33 (CEST)
