LibreOffice can be downloaded for free from the Webseite:

LibreOffice - The Document Foundation.

Click in the web page Download and then on Download LibreOffice.

Download LibreOffice ″Program″

Select operating system

Normally, LibreOffice should recognize your operating system automatically.

Otherwise, choose your operating system for LibreOffice.

Click on the operating system selection area.

Here are a sample selections:

  • Windows (64-Bit) - operating system Windows

Select your desired language

If your desired language is not selected, select "need an other language" and choose your language.

Start program download

Now click on the selection area .

It will be switched to the next page.

The download should start automatically.

It takes a moment for the dialog to respond.

Depending on your Internet browser settings, you may receive a message:

The "Save File" dialog appears, "Opening LibreOffice_x.x.x_Win_x64.msi" [1]

Click on the button Save file.

[1] x.x.x stands for the version number of LibreOffice.

Download LibreOffice ″Helppack″

The download for the program file was successful.

Select your desired language

Here you have again the possibility to select the language.

Then click on "choose another language".

Download the LibreOffice help

Click on the text in the upper line in the "green field - LibreOffice built-in help".

Depending on your Internet browser settings, you may receive a message:

Click also on the button Save File.

[2] x.x.x stands for the version number of LibreOffice.

Download older LibreOffice versions

You can download older LibreOffice versions from the Archive.

New offline help in newer LibreOffice versions

The older wiki help has been replaced by a new web-based help.

This now also supports display on mobile devices.

This means that the default Internet access program of your system will be opened.

You can recognize the offline function in the address of the Internet browser, it starts with file:///C:/Program Files/LibreOffice/help/en-GB/... and thus indicates that the access is done on your system.

Install LibreOffice

Under Windows, the two files are usually stored in the "Download" folder.

You can now install LibreOffice.
