Create line chart with points

This video shows how to create a line chart with points from a value table in Calc.

This description refers to the version LibreOffice 5.2.

Create line chart with points

Open Calc and the existing work file "Calc Line_Chart with Points.ods".

With the left mouse button held down, select the value range.

You can insert a diagram using the "Standard" toolbar and the "Diagram" icon.

Alternatively via the Insert ▸ Diagram… menu.

Select the Diagram icon from the standard toolbar.

The "Diagram Wizard" dialog box opens.

There, select "Line chart" from "Select chart type".

And select "Points and lines".

In the dialog box click "4 point diagram elements" on the left under "Steps".

Enter the heading from the value table for the title.

To the right of "Show legend" select "Top".

Click on Finish.

You can move the diagram around the spreadsheet as required.

Double-clicking and right-clicking on the chart allows you to edit the chart.
