    Function name:

    ISEVEN_ADD

    Category:

    Information

    Summary:

Determines whether a supplied number is even or odd. The sign of the number is ignored and if the value is not an integer, then any digits after the decimal separator are ignored. Returns the value 1 for an even number, 0 otherwise.

ISEVEN_ADD exists only for interoperability with legacy documents created with older versions of Microsoft Excel. In Calc, if you open an Excel 2003 (.xls) file that contains calls to the ISEVEN function, those calls are converted to calls to the ISEVEN_ADD function. If you save a document from Calc in ODS (Open Document Format for Office Applications) or OOXML (Office Open XML) format, any calls to the ISEVEN_ADD function are converted to refer to the ISEVEN function.

Because of the limited applicability of this function, fuller details are intentionally omitted from this wiki.

    Note:
For all new documents and most cases that do not require interoperability with legacy Excel spreadsheets, it is recommended that you use Calc's ISEVEN function, which is compliant with ODF 1.2 and compatible with more recent versions of Excel.
