Function name:

SQRTPI

Category:

Mathematical

Summary:

Returns the square root of (PI times a number).

Syntax:

SQRTPI(Number)

Returns:

Returns a real non-negative number which is the positive square root of (PI multiplied by Number). The resultant value is between 0 and ∞, i.e. [0,∞).

Arguments:

Number is a non-negative real number,or a reference to a cell containing that number by which pi is multiplied, further calculating the positive root.

If the Number is negative, the function returns an error value.

Additional details:

  • This is equivalent to SQRT(PI()*Number) where PI() is a mathematical function whose value is nearly 3.141592653589793238
