Description

Free Software User Group Italia (FSUGItalia), in conjunction with the High School "F. Redi" of Arezzo, is organizing the Document Freedom Day (DFD) on Saturday, March 29th. The event will be held at the Liceo Scientifico "F. Redi", Via Leone Leoni 38, Arezzo, from 8:30 am until 13:00.

Following the excellent results achieved in the 2012 and 2013 editions, the collaboration between FSUGItalia and the High School "F.Redi" has been expanded with an experimental training program for students. During this course, consisting of a series of monthly meetings, lectures and homeworks, the students learned the fundamentals of Free Software and its ethical principles, and acquired the skills to make presentations and videos.

In this edition of the DFD, the students and FSUGItalia's staff, with a series of "Lightning Talks" and videos self-produced, will introduce the public to Free Software, open standards, Creative Commons licences and will provide numerous examples of Free Software as LibreOffice.
