For at få LibreOffices versionsnummer:
- Vælg menuen ▸ .
- Nummeret vises i dialogfeltet.
- Nummereringen begynder med OpenOffice.orgs version 3.3.0, som LibreOffice blev oprettet fra.
- Det fjerde tal i mærket er RC-nummeret (ReleaseCandidat = Udgivelseskandidat)
- Build nummer svarer til antallet af eksisterende, offentlige versioner, herunder udviklings-, beta- og RC-versioner.
- Select the ▸ menu.
- The number shows in the dialog box.
- The numbering begins from the 3.3.0 of OpenOffice.org, version from which LibreOffice was created.
- The 4th number of the tag is the RC number.
- The build number matches the number of public versions that have existed including development, betas and RCs.

In the newer versions of LibreOffice, you can read out both the LO = LibreOffice version number and the OS = operating system used, provided that LibreOffice can be started.
