Talk:Documentation/Calc Functions/ERF.PRECISE
SF comments
- (1) General. Two different names are used on the page, i.e. Gaussian error integral and Gaussian error function. And then we link to a page that calls it “the error function (also called the Gauss error function)“. Can we decide what we want to call it, and use that name consistently?
- (2) Returns. Can the error function give values of exactly +1 or -1 (theoretically)?
- (3) Arguments. Clarification needed. Presumably the LowerLimit can be any real number? What happens if you pass something that is not a real number?

All points addressed. About -1 and +1 Calc will give that for very large numbers.
