Diese Seite vergleicht die Funktionen von LibreOffice und Microsoft Office in einigen Punkten. Sie unterscheidet zwischen großen und kleineren Funktionsunterschieden und beinhaltet auch Hinweise zu LibreOffice-Erweiterungen. Die Windows und macOS Versionen haben einige Kompatibilitätsprobleme das Dateiformat betreffend, einige unterschiedliche Funktionalitäten der Benutzeroberfläche; die macOS-Version beinhaltet keine Datenbank MS Access und keinen MS Publisher. Genause fehlen einige andere Funktionen (siehe weiter unten). Inkonsistenzen/​Unterschiede in den Windows-Versionen, zwischen der "MS Office 2024" Kaufversion und der "Office 365" Mietversion: einige Funktionen wurden nachträglich nur in der "Office 365" Mietversion eingebaut (neue Funktionalitäten unterscheiden sich auch zwischen der macOS und der Windows Version), was zu Inkonsistenzen in der Funktionalität führt (siehe weiter unten).
